US scraps terrorist bounty for Syria’s HTS leader after first

The US on Friday dropped its $10 million reward for the capture
of Ahmed al-Sharaa, leader of Syria's Hayat Tahrir al-Sham rebel
group, following the first in-person official meeting in
Damascus between the two sides.

Well, that's one way to not be a terrorist
anymore, take over an entire country :-)

Alas I do expect a long nasty factional civil
war to start soon. The al-Sharaa coalition is
composed of factions that normally don't get
along at all. It was only the common goal of
getting rid of Assad that held them together.

Hmmmmm ... now when all goes to hell, will Assad
and his Russian friends suddenly return to "restore
order" ???
