Apparently died of scarlet fever complications around
age one. Sorry, not much vax or treatments back then.

An interesting lesson for those obsessed with "breeding" ...

Einie and his wife were both top physicists - it's
argued how much of 'relativity' was HER work (or at
least her skill in finding where hubby went wrong).
Einie's family had skill in math, yet none of the
children or grand-children are what we would call
'genius'.

This often seems the case, even outside 'science'.
You get ONE 'genius' - but nobody down the line
ever measures up to that. JS Bach had many children,
but only a few had any real musical talent, Carl
and Johann C especially ... but alas not nearly up
to Dad's transcendent level.
