Texas, a former slave state, still has the general compulsion to employ
illegal immigrants at below rock bottom wages to give the corpulent rightists
in power cheap labor and goods, and to improve their bottom line. They
prefer being able to blackmail workers with threats of violece or return to
the south in exchange for pennies.
