Looks like NOW is when a lot more (but never ALL) truth
about these things is gonna come out. Basically everyone
has sorta believed in aliens for over 100 years, HG Wells
had little prob with his alien theme. Prof Lowell, though
in error, met with little ideological resistance with
his Martian Canals even earlier - everybody was fascinated.

Trump also seems to wanna get to the bottom of it, and
his people will have their fingers into every black op
that might be hiding things. Aim Elon at 'em - he'll
PESTER the truth from them :-)

I have expressed concerns about 'aliens' being turned
into some sudden 'alien THREAT' for political reasons.
This would NOT be good - worse than the reds under
every bed. Machiavelli DID instruct leaders to INVENT

Alas I'm gonna posit that worlds with ANY kind of 'life'
are extremely few, and any where higher-IQ/tech life
managed to evolve an extremely small fraction of those.

We're finally getting a fair look at our stellar
neighborhood, maybe 1000 light years, and the planets
we've seen are *horrible*. MIGHT be just one or two
or three 'intelligent' civs in the entire galaxy
and the chances of them co-inciding with OURS is yet
another complicating factor. Earth life was DEAD
STUPID for 4 billion years (some wags would argue
it still is) but nothing really stepped up to the IQ
table until barely two million years ago. TIMING
may be everything when it comes to meeting aliens.

'bang the rocks together guys !')

But, more and more stuff suggests someone/something
is out there. Still wanna see that big triangle
do a low fly-by over Cleveland.
