STILL No Agreement on What Russia Fired Into Ukraine

Initial reports were an "ICBM" ... though those are
usually armed with a nuke they COULD be armed with
a ton or two of regular explosive.

Downside, the USA and others keep EXTREMELY close track
of what's going on with Russian/Chinese ICBMs. If even
one is launched everybody trends quickly into WW3 mode.
Not really worth the risk.

Now, it appears, is claimed, that it was an intermediate-
range ballistic missile (a large one) that blasted Ukraine
early Thursday morning. Still enough range to be well out
of Ukraine's reach, enough bang to flatten even a fairly
large factory or industrial complex.

Russia has been kinda using up the old USSR military
inventory. It DOES have far more modern tech in reserve.

As best I can guess, this WAS a "message" - to NATO/USA/EU.
It was "We CAN reach you ANY time !". That the thing kinda
looked like an ICBM ... just underlines the message.

Both Joe and Vlad need some restraint at this point.
Far too easy for this dick-measuring contest to go
Too Far. Seems much of the old sensibility about
the absolute ruin nukes can cause got old and was
buried. This leaves us with people who think WW3
is somehow "winnable". VERY BAD.

i think they had made an announcement that it was being launched.
but yeah, very clear indication of what's next if ukraine
continues to fire us and uk long range missiles into russia.

But they kinda HAVE to ...

This is a sucky war fer sure. Vlad talks like he's
ready to end the world over some wheat fields and
the farmers are willing to take desperate measures
to protect their stuff from Vlad even if it ends
the world.

I hope the space aliens are filming all this for
their next exciting reality episode of "See The
Stupid Humans" - may be the last one. At least
we'll be remembered in eternal re-runs .......
