PermalinkNevada has been rocked by a 5.7 magnitude earthquake, the
United States Geological Survey reported on Monday afternoon.
The monstrous tremor struck near Carson City - just outside
of Reno - and was felt as far away as Sacramento, California.
The quake hit around 3.08pm local time, 14.4 miles northeast
of Yerington.
. . .
There seems to be a rather LARGE uptick in quakes
lately. The Pacific rim especially, but many OTHER
places as well. There was a really big quake off
the Cal coast just the other day - which, very very
fortunately, did not spawn a tsunami. NEXT one
though .......
Does anyone know WHY this sudden uptick is
happening - some kind of 'alignment' or
gravity waves or whatever ???
There were big swarms of quakes and eruptions in
the mid 1800s as well ... then it went kinda quiet
for awhile. Now, it's BACK .....
Clue, real-estate values are MUCH higher now.
Do you REALLY think yer insurer is gonna pay ?
